Are you mentally handicap? Do you really think viruses didn't exist that long ago?

[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Do you really think that's what he was referring to? What he meant was that it's highly unlikely for a torrent to stay that active for that long if it has viruses.

Much, much more likely that an antiviral program registers a false positive.

virustotal.com can help a lot in this regard. This is the scan I ran on dsetup (the troublesome file) about 7-8 months ago and reanalyzed today:
https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/9...is/1426419356/

All of those mentions of "Generic" this or that usually mean the program doesn't really know what the file does. And Avast is more trustworthy than McAfee, Symantec, AVG, etc. So, if it says "okay," then I trust its word. Also, the score improved from 20/52 to 10/52 in that period. That says to me, "False positive."

I removed my full paid for version of AVG, and downloaded AVAST, and when I try to download these files from them certain links, it stops it, then voice commands start going off like crazy, they're infected, I've tried to pass the files off as ok and nothing will install when I click Next.
