As a new player on p1999 I agree that the atmosphere is not the same as it was on EQ back in the Kunark days. We just didn't have an economy anywhere close to what exists on p1999 currently. It wasn't possible, players have been at end game content for soooo much longer here. They've done everything, collected everything and are more informed. A wipe of the current server (as appealing as that may be) would suck if you were one of those players who have been around since the beginning. That said, I do hope that for the sake of preserving the classic EQ feel, they have the resources available to create a fresh server that's a progression server. Add Velious to the current blue and red servers and start a new one on the original release schedule starting either from pre-Kunark or with Kunark and then relase Velious about the same amout of time later as they did originally. That would to rock! Just hope there are enough players to support three servers. Regardless, thanks for continuing to run and develop the only game that's as close as possible to the original EQ that we all know and love! | |||
