It doesn't make much difference. STA for optimal end-game, STR for easier time early on.

Oh, and for stats, if you plan to use a fungi and want to keep that AGI above 75 to avoid the HUGE AC penalty, you may wanna plan for that minus 10 AGI hit the fungi gives.
Yea I don't think he has to worry about that if he is choosing halfling.. don't they start out at like 100 agi if they are a warrior

i always pick RZ for a warrior. it does not make you KoS in good cities, but it also does not help you in evil cities. and if the off chance that the really good cultural armor is added on this server, you'll be set.
Not entirely true. Make an RZ wood elf warrior and run your ass to Kaladim, stopping to say hi to all the Dwarven guards along the way. To sum up the experience, Loading, please wait...

I had to kill a lot of goblins to get into the city.

Greetings. I play a lvl 60 warrior and the issue of warrior statistics is something I am very familiar with. The main question you should be asking yourself is if your warrior will ever obtain an Avatar proc'cing weapon from Sleeper's Tomb. As you know, Avatar grants you +100 STR, AGI, DEX, ATK, but NOT STA. If you get one of these weapons it will be easy for you to keep everything but your STA maxed. In that case your starting stats should be full STA. Historically, a Halfling warrior goes full STA anyway, so even If you aren't going to obtain a primal velium weapon, it is still a good route to take.

Agility is broken on here so big deal. Str, Sta are the big deals on a Warrior, And AC toward the end game which is broken on here until like level 45ish.

I would put more into Str, Sta than Dex. I know procs help a lot but end game that is why EQ created a Shaman to buff all those stats like Dex, Agi.

Trouble with a Warrior is you have to carry about 10 different weapons. So some are just for damage some for taunt. So no matter what you do Dex wise it isn't crap for half of your weapons. And Stamina is just TOTALLY broken on here swinging weapons unlike live was. You really had to sit and regen it in the day with heavy weapons.

A Warrior is pretty much a must in my opinion in Velious along with a Cleric to heal it. You get into the min max thingy and it is a no brainier to have a Ogre as one. But YMMV. You WILL be needed trust me.

Dude I totally forgot about stamina needing to regen for fighters. The only thing that takes stamina now is jumping (dwarf tuck and roll).

I balanced my str/stamina. My base stats is 90str 100sta 90dex 100agi. SOmething about having all 90/100 physical base stats was appealing to me. But when I am raid buffed w/ velious buffs(even with just kunark gear) they are all 255 anyway.

If you insist on being a warrior, i would personally put all points into dex. More procs = more threat, and in groups that's what warriors struggle the most with. Also, in normal xp grind groups, most mobs are not dangerous enough to justify extreme stamina/hp. Slow drastically reduces the damage done by mobs, you won't see a lot of groups without a chanter or a shaman.

Agnostic halfling will allow you to go through every "good" city and outposts. So unless there's some sort of advantage by taking up a religion (cultural armor, maybe?) i'd stick with agnostic.

My 2cp.
Good post.

An RZ Halfling War will be non KoS to Giants upon Velious release. That's a nice advantage.

Agnostic is always best unless you plan on dwarven cultural which you may want to consider then brell is the way to go. 25 dex to start is the way to go imo warriors require procs unless you have higher end weapons that give uber swing aggro vp and tov weapons.
