![]() So I've starting about a week ago and leveled a few characters all under level ten.
Here's some newbie tips from a newbie: If your looking to get in a group more often than not, ask for a port to Greater Faydark. It seems easy to get a group there starting at level 5. If your pet out damages you in combat it eats like 50% (or is it 75%?) of your XP. If your in a group however this penalty is negated. My advice is to to group up with anyone and begin your killing spree. Low level pets are too strong to out damage regularly. I've gotten into a few duos by just stopping to chat with people and and asking them if they wanted to team up. If anyone has anything to add or any corrections please tell us about it.

![]() Orc Hill from 4-7 earns you not only xp, but a fair amount of CB belts, which sell for 3pp per. I made almost 100 plat by the time I was level 6 (granted I'm a Paladin).
Orc Hill is usually camped and often has a waiting list, but it's a great early spot. First thing I did when I dinged 3 on my dwarf was make the trek to Gfay.

![]() Good advice. I just sarted on Project 1999 with a halfling cleric last week. After leveling to 5 in Misty Thicket, I made my way over to Greater Faydark and have been having a blast in orc hill groups! It helps that I've found some great people to group with like Warrik, Kalthir, and Vexxia!

![]() What you're saying about Gfay is totally accurate. I recently started Project 1999 as well with the creation of my halfling cleric. After leveling to 5 in Misty Thicket, I moved over to Gfay and have easily found orc hill groups. Everyone has been really friendly and I've had a blast. I've especially enjoyed grouping with Dimu, Warrik, Kalthir, and Vexxia! (sorry if I misspelled anything [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

![]() All accurate info. When soloing though, if your pet out damages you which they will at low lvls, they take 50% of the exp. Once your grp reaches about lvl 8-10 you can move to the ent of CB and enjoy that ZEM which is between 120-160 for CB (it's lower on p99)

![]() Also, if CB is full (which it often is) make the short trip to lfay. There are I think 4 orc camps with static spawns. They are the same exact orcs as in CB and drop the belts and pads too. I have never seen any orc in lfay but centurions and legionnaires. No one ever camps them so they are always free. Just make sure to beware of roaming brownies as they are higher lvl druids and willl snare/root/nuke you and they are sowed, so they are hard to escape.

![]() Gfay is my favorite starting zone, took my monk there early on. only drawback was having to take the boat to train skills. Felwithe and Kelethin should cover training for most classes, and have a really simple transition to higher zones. can do Gfay - Crushbone - Unrest - Stay in Unrest or go to MM at 20.
