He was easier a while ago , they patched something with him . I believe it was magic resistance buff . Anyways I know a few people that do it with puppet strings , and before the nerf there was a shaman I knew that had him on lock.

From a non-strings enchanter:

There are 3 Fallen Erudites around him. You want to prepare these guys first via pre-buffing them. Ideally, they should all be dual wielding and buffs look like
Slot 1: Empty (junk buff then cancel magic)
Slot 2: Junk Buff
Slot 3: Junk Buff
Slot 4: Junk Buff
Slot 5: Junk Buff
Slot 6: Haste (you can put haste in slots 2, 3, 4, or 5 and just recast on dispell)
Slot 7: Charm

On yourself, just have bedlam/rune and some counteract disease and counteract poison pots. Also leave your top slot open for ignite blood dispels. Pets top slot is for dispelling ignite blood.

You will have to dispel his caster shielding (MR) and tash him to have any hope of slowing. Tepid is fine, you don't need shiftless or forlorn. Have re-occuring amnesia up for blurs. Use boltrans to charm/recharm since its a quicker cast than allure. Keep bedlam/rune up for if you have to tank while you boltrans the next man up + blur.

They claimed to have increased his Mr but he still eats slows pretty easily if you debuff him. You can go with the shaman but I wouldn't if he's holding the shield since the quads make it a bit more difficult.
