Druid is a good starting class, especially with kids and pregnant wife. You can solo and go away from your computer whenever you need. Also for ingame reasons you can get some monies from ports when u get high enough and you are able to solo lots of quests and even some gear. And to add to it, you aren't gear dependent so you don't even really have to worry about it. Most important thing would be a decent wep cuz you can melee well until 20s. (Maybe higher, my highest druid is 21)
