go to eq folder, make a shortcut to eqgame.exe.

go to properties on shortcut for eqgame.exe and add patchme at the end of target line so it looks like this

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\EverQuest\eqgame.exe" patchme

hit ok and click eqgame.exe shortcut should launch.
