Problem I had last time was I didn't make a log of the mobs I gave items to and some people wouldn't announce when they had found an item so I had no idea when everything was found. I like that idea - though there's nothing to stop someone buying 5 pixie dust and 3 of whatever other component and telling you they looted them all.

What it might need is something not native to the area. If Butcherblock, maybe the cheapest vendorable shaman herb (dont think there's a shaman vendor on Faydwer), or the water you can only buy at Shady in EC, or something.

Effectively make whatever it is a token, and people can come and redeem an item from you... that way they have more chance of getting something their class can use?

If you do it in EC, you'll have people trolling and level 20s/30s who are junior fat cats cashing in to sell on as well as mobs dying quicker than you can stock them. Just a few thoughts [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I have a 40 ench and I would be willing to help you set up if you want. I also have a few items from Oowomp on her that I would be willing to place on mobs for the event.

I wonder if you did this in a zone that is usually empty like runnyeye if people would come out and group in the zone for a chance at loot. I bet some would, especially if you had people volunteering to port as some have mentioned above.

Got a very good start so far guys. Special thx to Swish and Supaskillz for a lot of items. Greengrocer has offered items as well, need to get back in touch with him. Claiire and Kindley are gonna help collect items and help with the event itself.

The way its shaping up, might be able to place items in multiple zones so more people can get items without having to port around.

Greengrocer has donated 500pp and im going to match his pledge. First prize is going to be 1k plat to the lucky winner. Greeny has also given me a great idea how to distribute the item prizes without taking the time to place them on mobs. Hopefully we will be able to get this up and running in the next few days. Might even have a mini event tonight to see how it goes.
