![]() Usually there are a few people on during all hours of the day. Some zones are more packed than others. Greater Fay is a great place at low levels. East Commons as well.

![]() level 14 now really struggling to level solo atm alot of dying mostly I've tried finding a group in quite a few zones and not having any luck with that either im guessint because enchanters don't really benefit a group as much at my level maybe.

That said, I experienced exactly the same difficulty during my Chanter's teen years before 16th level re: Breeze and Haste. 12th-16th are tough levels because you're in a Druid world i.e. popular zones for the level range - EC, NRo, Oasis, SRo - etc - are outdoor, and Druids have Snare and Harmony for Crowd Control, not to mention can fulfil Cleric duties. I could easily solo Dev 3 on my Druid alt back on live. The main difficulty was finding Dev 3 un-camped! If a group needed Dev 3, I would always give up the camp and head elsewhere - LavaStorm to dispel Fire Elementals, and kill the Nektulos Guard near the zone line. Once you hit 16th level, Oasis and Unrest become a lot more viable [Crowd Control], and Chanters start channelling the spirit of Kelis (my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard ...) because you instantly go from being the Ginger Step-Child of EverQuest (a slight exaggeration - Rangers hold that particular distinction) to becoming the Prom Queen re: Breeze & Haste. Fortunately, at 12th level you have access to all of the spells in the Chanter's arsenal that make soloing viable: - Mez - Stuns - Charm - Slow - Root - MR Debuffs - DOTS - DD Buy your 12th level pet, any illusions you may need, as well as 'Bind Affinity', and you're golden re: Charm solo Dev 3 in NRo, Charm solo Wisps in EC / WC / Erud's Crossing, Charm solo Bandits in WK, Charm solo - you get the idea. I pretty much Charm soloed from 12th-16th level because I found it near impossible to grab a group during these levels. Use this as an opportunity to really explore your class and get to know how to Charm. You have all the tools at your disposal to go anywhere, and set your own risk / reward limit. Learning to Charm solo effectively will really benefit you in levels to come, and will allow you to get through this tough period, whilst gaining plat at the same time (GL quest, turning in Bandit sashes, etc). Hope that helps!

![]() ty for your response I have definately been trying to charm kill mostly which ended in the charm breaking and me dying. The biggest issue seems to be mana atm it seems like I can only cast a few spells before im oom and not able to recharm or root or mez or stun whatever is needed to make the situation be worse. Yea I figured it was just a bad level range for my class I will keep at it I am currently soloing in unrest with just the pet and dots and it isn't going too bad.
I'm on cst but I've been playing at all times during the day for the most part since I started playing got a good bit of time on my hands atm. | ||

![]() I hear you on the OOM situation. As a lowbie non-twinked Chanter, you have to be very careful in terms of mana management. You'll need to Charm, Root (if needed), Mez (if needed), DOT and/or DD, and Slow (if needed). Tashan (or equivalent) will really help for resists. Bare minimum, Charm, DOT/DD, and Slow. Keep enough mana for Mez or Root, if things go South.
I prefer using a DOT for mana effiency and less aggro than our DD. Unfortunately, DOTs break Mez and run the risk of breaking Root. I would start out without slowing the mob you plan to attack to (1) save mana, (2) judge how long fights take without, (3) how much HP your charmed pet has and/or target ( if pet dies), and (d) how much mana you have left. You can then try with a Slow and evaluate the results. The ideal position is for your target to die and your pet to be low health i.e. easy to kill, then med up, before charming a new pet. Actually, the absolute ideal is to retain Charm long enough to kill another target, before you kill your pet. Experiment with different mobs and make sure that you're next to a zone line when you experiment in case things head South. Once you're comfortable, Erud's Crosding is a good spot to Charm Wisps for GL quest. Addressing your Mana, we need to address your INT. Have you: - Completed Stein of Moggok Quest? - Bought a pair of Silver Rose Engagement Rings (player crafted)? - Lucie Elron quest in Qeynos to obtain a pair of Ear Studs (might have to be under 10th level for the Tattered Dress to drop)? The above will take a few hours and a fair bit of travel - not to mention between 10-30pp for a pair of Silver Rose Engagement Rings. The above dill provide an extra +20 INT and should be a priority. You could buy a Crude Stein +10 STA and +9 CHA for your Secondary slot - around 50 pp. The question is will I be able to perform the Lucie Elron quest as a DE Innoruuk worshipper? Probably not. May have to try illusion Human and see how I'm received. I suspect not very well due to my Innoruuk association! Life will improve at 16 - just have to tough it out. Perhaps think about a guild to help, and also participate to become an active member to generate a lot of favour and make new friends to add it your friend list. Cheers!
