That's good to hear. I'll have to make a character tonight. I think I'll use blue for soloing and red for grouping.

Any directions for for guilds to look at?
First just /ooc lfg and level range, its global so you should see some people LFG or lfm relatively quick, second if your in the newbie area, invite anyone you see, the more people in your group the more xp you get!

Lastly, thunderdrom and Order through chaos are the two main leveling guilds.

But please be patient, the pop is low so keep that in mind as you get started! Good luck!!

Couple newb qs.

1) How screwed is a loner? If I avoid contested zones like CB and do something like... follow Sesserdrix's leveling guide (Hello Misty and bards), will I be able to do my thing? Or will I be punked around wherever I go until I join some big guild?

2) Does the red forum community represent the game community accurately? Honestly, every time I see some trollish post by guys like Colgate I just wonder if playing with angsty teens is worth it.

3) Is it true that there was a guild called "Holocaust" on the server with lots of members named after nazis? It's stories like that which make me question how toxic the red community is.

4) Wtf does "Pras" mean? I see it spammed in OOC all the time.
The main "fungi twink" spots are Crushbone, Unrest and Mistmoore (ALL Faydwer).

If you're XP'ing anywhere else you'll rarely see one, maybe Upper Guk if you're very unlucky but I've never seen one in there.

I'd get in a guild like <Good Guys> or one of the smaller rising guilds. In a guild and group environment it's very different to the old veterans chatting about who got killed, why it was funny, who got mad etc.

There was a guild called Holocaust but it was disbanded by Sirken I believe. Reformed with most of the same people into what is now Empire.

Pras = giving praise for a most honorable kill <3

Why do fungis not have a level requirement here. Also those main fungi think spots are the only places you can really find groups. Crucial to the do bonus here.

it really is a non issue... they kind of do have a level requirement, they cost basicaly 150k blue plat, so not many people have them (right now).

I mean really the truth is, if you are leveling you may see 1 or 2 fungi twinks, ever.. its not like they're there all the time.

That said, the native XP bonus on red makes these interrupts seriously not a big deal. Like I said, Ive never asked for a rez.. its literately faster to just get back to leveling than it is to wait for your rez effects to ware off... So when you see a fungi twink, take the time to learn how to joust, how to move and cast, how to fight pvp without mob agro.. there is SO much to pvp that takes lots and lots of practice..

The fungi twinks provide a super valuable personal skill up in how to pvp. Primarily because in the 20's it still takes a minuet for someone to kill you unless you just stand there and let them back stab you.

They'll be gone as fast as they came, and you'll be back to leveling in no time. And if you do get Yellow Text'd (PvP death, most of the time youll find they didnt even loot your plat, cus they are just accountants IRL that are playing a video game for fun with pals, not really billy the kid lookin to get famous.)

There was a short time when red was down and blue wasn't. The red trolls had a few minutes with nothing better to do so they hopped over to blue. If I didn't have enough of a reason to stay away from red, that was it. No wonder you guys got your OOC taken away.

If it's any consolation, you can easily be 50 + by June 1st if you find the right group and stick together.
