Question Red Skill Text Bug

My 52 MNK has 231 in H2H, but in the Skill window, it as listed as 229 in red text. I know it is 231, because that is the value the MNK GM tells me it's at when I train. I've tried to dig through the Bugs forum to figure out if I can fix this, or even if it's a known issue, but have come up empty.

Anyone able to tell me more about this, or even how to fix it?

I suspect it is an anti-delevelling provision.

I suggest, if you have a skill that exceeds what should be expected in your level range (231) perhaps it is instead treated as a lower value (229).

Consider levelling up and seeing what your red value becomes?

I have a 60 rogue that I sacc'd to 55. All my skills were in red. Jimjam is exactly right. It's showing in red because the skill is higher than it should be for your level.

So I leveled to 53, and the red text went away.

I promptly gained 2 ranks in H2H without deleveling, and the red text is back. Any other ideas.
