Hello all! New player here. I started a monk because it was one of my favorite classes back in D&D. I began in Qeynos and got some decent XP. I'm level 14 and looking for a new place to level as Blackburrow is getting dull.

Also, is there anything else besides cloth and leather that I can wear? Is there any place I can hunt my level to get decent monk armor/items?

Thanks!
Turn in gnoll fangs until level 20 then try and find a port out. If you don't have 100pp by then go farm sisters in lfay and buy a wu's quivering staff(or just go there now at lv 14).

From there you either want to do unrest to 22 then mistmoore to 30 or go to upper guk 20-30 or do both [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Just remember to bind in nearby cities once you leave Qeynos.

Even on human I highly recommend killing High Hold Keep guards from 30-40, that place is Monk paradise. Each kill is 5pp and you can sell, bind and FD bank nearby. Some guards in freeport will hate you but it's well worth it since you can fund your entire monk set off that place. I think I made something like 12k from 30-42...

Na forget the sisters. Best thing to do is get some medicine bags and kill bandits in the karanas for bandit sashes. They weight next to nothing are no drop non stackable. Collect as many as you can and turn them in south qeynos. They give exp, good faction, gold, and a random bronze weapon you can sell.

+1 more for the bandit sashes. The best part about it is, there is a vendor who stands literally right next to the quest turn in dude, so when you are rocking like 400 lbs of bronze weapons and cant move, you can unload them right there. Great quest, great xp.

Agreed. bandits and Greater lightsotne for cash. Once again, qeynos is the best starting area for money hands down.
Edit: also since most of the Antonica population is on teh FP side. Its harder to get groups. The trade-off is that a lot of solo-only players choose the karanas, but with persistence (and YOU forming the groups) parties can happen.

I remember on live one my first Character was a Monk and this frustrated me so badly that I decided to follow the road to Freeport. I ended up in the Kithicor and not knowing to follow the walls..

Needless to say I was still bound in Qeynos and ended up doing this very thing.
