Questions about the future.
Hello fellow Norrathains,
First off, I'm sorry if this has been asked but for some reason the search tool does not work for me. When I hit enter it just clears what I typed and doesnt do anything... So my question is. Is there a chance that p99 will introduce another server starting from the beginning? I see endless wipe it clean post which always seems to lead to the discussion that this server wont get a wipe which is fine and dandy. But for me and I'm sure other people, I feel like I am the only one without a 50+ main. For the most part Im always the under geared. It would be nice again to start from scratch with people. I know velious comes before all and there are going to be months to even years to get velious polished as well as other things related to p99. Im down for the wait. But have any GMs hinted at another server from scratch after velious and p99 gets majority of things right? I atill have a blast being a noob and playing the game it was intended. Just feel like Im swamped with endless twink alts. But hey it's classic right!?!? | ||

After Velious is out a while, they're going to open another server with more "classic" release dates on Kunark and Velious.

They have said that post-Velious they may release a "fresh" server that follows the original time-line, then potentially merge said server in with '99 Blue.
For now, just enjoy the game. You'll see griping on the forums about people not having fun and very little about the people having fun simply because the people having fun aren't going to stop doing so to come post on the forums. With 1300+ people on, and maybe 3 posts a day about bards or power-level groups, you have to assume that's a good ratio of happy to butthurt. Quote:

summary of future planning.....best put in poem form:
DULCE ET DECORUM EST(1) Bent double, like old beggars under sacks, Knock-kneed, coughing like hags, we cursed through sludge, Till on the haunting flares(2) we turned our backs And towards our distant rest(3) began to trudge. Men marched asleep. Many had lost their boots But limped on, blood-shod. All went lame; all blind; Drunk with fatigue; deaf even to the hoots(4) Of tired, outstripped(5) Five-Nines(6) that dropped behind. Gas!(7) Gas! Quick, boys! – An ecstasy of fumbling, Fitting the clumsy helmets(8) just in time; But someone still was yelling out and stumbling, And flound'ring like a man in fire or lime(9) . . . Dim, through the misty panes(10) and thick green light, As under a green sea, I saw him drowning. In all my dreams, before my helpless sight, He plunges at me, guttering,(11) choking, drowning. If in some smothering dreams you too could pace Behind the wagon that we flung him in, And watch the white eyes writhing in his face, His hanging face, like a devil's sick of sin; If you could hear, at every jolt, the blood Come gargling from the froth-corrupted lungs, Obscene as cancer, bitter as the cud(12) Of vile, incurable sores on innocent tongues, My friend, you would not tell with such high zest(13) To children ardent(14) for some desperate glory, The old Lie; Dulce et Decorum est Pro patria mori.(15) Wilfred Owen meaning....lerching from one disaster to another with no clear goals or vision.

Red has more of a fresh, wild west, feel to it than blue does. Try it out if you have thick skin, it's really not as bad as many would have you think.
Not saying you won't run into a bunch of twinks on red.
