Default Leveling in Velious

With winter has fallen, all are, or most who have anticipated velious have achieved either Sunday getting ported over, or use of the barge to get to get to iceclad. I've noticed many asking questions, where should I go and ect.

I know velious some what, I've soloed quite a bit up to mid fifties before in velious.

Velious is for the usual lvl 40+, but to you who are lvl 30, don't sweat it, you're included. One zone I do lack experiance in, is Iceclad ocean, besides killing the turtle. I don't know much about the zone or ToFs, the rest I do.

I'm gonna start with the lvl 30-35 areas you can xp at.

Ice clad, 30 to 35(38?) pirates, not sure how tough they are. For a group, this would be good, higher lvls can solo. There is a gnoll camp for a small group of 3 in this lvl range. Mobs around ToFs 37-39s can solo or a thirties to mid 35 group can kill.
For peeps 37-41 you can get some nice xp at the bridge. I was here for over a hour, got 3 and a half blue bubs in the hell lvl of 40. Killed both elite giants ever 6 mins, and pulled pull after pull of giant scouts, and wolves. With a group of 5 of us, we were getting killer xp.

I am going to jump over to the great divide, for lvl 30s, you can lvl up to 35 or 37 doing Tizmaks in the cave system. There is a ton of them. I use to duo this, and xpd fast up to 40 with my shaman friend, awhile back. Shardwyrms are more 37 to 44, in a solid group. Or 40's who are truly disciplined in there class and can kill them, ancient shardwyrms do hurt. Kodiaks, I don't know about. Everything else, lvl 40+ solo classes can xp here easily. There are some nice named mobs mid 45 who drop nice gear to lvl 50 mobs.

EW, Rygor orc Fort, lvl 37 to 42 peeps can xp here. I had a problem pulling on the left side and through the wall had agro. Good loot on the mid 45 named orcs. Giant fort for a group of mid 45's to xp for 50s soloing. I am for certain you can have a bridge group here, or a group near the dwarf ghost, sort of near, and with lvl 37-45 group, just pull and pull and pull, enough mobs to kill to xp off of. Good place lvl 42+ druids are at soloing I've seen so far.

Crystal caverns, all you 34-44 peeps can xp here. The spider camp I dont know jack about. But I use to make tons of cash off orcs and geodes. Orcs are great for lvls 34-40, others help me out here, can you start these at 32 and lvl up to 38? But geodes are higher lvl, 42 to 45. Spiders I dont know about.

ToFs, I dont know, can lvl 30 to 50+ here. Key is over camped atm.

Kael, I know you can start xping here at the entrance with a solid lvl 43 to 48 group on the EW ZL, WL ZL area lvl 48-50. Going in deeper, I sort of have forgotten. Closer to to Avatar of War, watch out, you've gone too far in if you are not in a raid.

One zone I love, I've learned quite well, is the Wakening Lands. I've soloed 44+ here before. But certain you can xp here at 40+ (may be tough?).
Lvl 44-52 can do geode men, good xp and loot.

There is alot of trash mobs all around the zone, seems you can start to xp off them at 40+, but beware of the black unicorn in the zone, I presume is kos, Giants in WL when you zone in are two guards, lvl 48 last I remember. Enchanters or solo people can kill them.

Velks, this zone everyone loves. At least I do. Can lvl 50+ here. Ive only done this zone up to lvl 55. I would say most peeps do the entrance ground area at first for a few lvls, then start to go up. I havnt been here in over a decade, so I've forgotten stuff about it, there is black ice all over, so you will slip n' slide. Levitate I think is allowed in the zone.

Cobalt Scar, this is a place soloers go to often for 50+ doing the wyverns off of the cliffs, I use to fear kite these on a rog years back. Pretty zone. But so far. Worth it though.

Other zones I did not share information upon is Western Waste, never xpd here. Skyshrine, Sirens grotto *only been here once before to help someone get a drop years ago. Dragon Necropolis. Ice well keep. Then the raid zones.

I just wanted to make this list to help people with some experience I have with velious. See you all in the game.

Good post!

I've been in Iceclad for the most part so far, so let me add to that. Snow cougars and shadow guardians around ToFS are still good (and soloable) at 35. The snow cougars are really social but start out dubious, so you can single-pull the shadow guardians around the base of the tower easily. On the southernmost island the wandering frost giant scouts, dire wolves, and snow dervishes are plentiful to an absurd degree, good at 35.

Eastern Wastes is a little rough at 35 but doable, you just have to be really careful pulling. I noticed on beta that the green con mobs will attack a level 60 as well. You can get ganged up on really fast if you foolishly wander through a small crowd of tundra kodiaks. The rhinos, mammoths, and snow bunnies aren't aggressive. I don't think the walruses are either, at least at first. Lots of wandering orcs and the occasional frost giant. The elder snow griffins are the scariest because they cast spells and fly REALLY fast, so they can show up out of nowhere to whack you.
