This is true. One of the reasons GG started to struggle was lite pushing the guild to go head on against empire. Strydur and vapo were making all the right calls with camping out pvp and avoiding it. Deny empire the fun of pvp and waste their time while you play alts as there is no point getting killed.

Unless people from empire leave to join the underdog the only way a guild can catch up is if they gear to their capacity and their members want to pvp the top guild above all else. Contesting is the last few steps of guild progression for the #2 guild and is a very risky one.
-Logging out to avoid pvp
-Play alts
-Stand around during raids at empire bind points praying for naked YT
-Group with toxic element that they've fought against for so long
-Get loot by purchasing products for Lite
-Compete with lawyerquest and petitionquest
-Group with people we all know break the rules with boxing
-Spend time in yeti caves
-Get loot by RMTing from Vapo before he gets banned again
-Listen to Strydur and discussions about why steroids aren't bad
-Get to be guilded with Drakaris and feel embarrassed every time he posts
-Listen to Lite yell PEACE N (derogatory racial slur) ever time he gets a kill (so rarely)
-Complain about velious, GM's, cheating, favoritism on boards
-Complain about velious, GM's, cheating, favoritism in ooc

Really the number of reasons to leave Empire and join #2 are overwhelming. So much to see and do and be a part of.

Must get in before the avalanche of apps.
