The static spawn design of the game really sucks in that regard, there're simply too many EQ loot camps that can be locked down semi-afk with a timer. Sadly, the only known solution to semi-afk camping is so incredibly toxic that it requires continuous heroic anti-classic life-saving measures such as extreme XP bonuses just to keep the patient alive, quality of life be damned.
