Well look at that, the Fed decided not to raise interest rates (despite 95% of economists predicting a September raise just a month ago). The market rebound isn't huge, though the REITs are doing quite well with the news that their borrowing costs will stay low for the foreseeable future. Glad I took the gamble and put money into them while the market was spooked about impending interest rate hikes.

The last major time this happened was 1927. We all know what happened next. History is just following the road to repeating itself...Will it commit? Who knows. But its on that road.

Halfway through the month and the dow has been fairly stable compared to this summer, and is now up a little under half a percent on the month. When are we "just getting started" on anything other than a sideways holding pattern?

fairly stable? we set a record for 1 and 2 day point drops, shit, just this morning it seemingly dropped 200 points for no damn reason and everyone is kinda scratching their heads about why. Chinese market is still all screwed up to no end, and yes, their market has a major effect on ours as we do theirs.
