Even with newbie weapons you can breach level 10 within other zones.

I've been at this for an hour or two now. Its not just bad rounds and luck on my end. To kill a equal con mob (hell they're blue now, -1 level) I need perfect luck on resists and full mana.

I thought it might be buffs, but no its every single level 5-6 mob in the zone. They just have obnoxiously high hp compared to the rest of the game, even the things in guk are lower on total health or on par despite being levels higher( I actually went in out of desperation).

I lucked out on a group and achieved level 6. I really just wonder if this was how it was in classic since my memory can't be trusted but basing it off the wiki/recent play every other newbie zone isn't like this. I guess the best I could do is try to find old archives of alla or something.
