plank is spawning yes, but our understanding is when they finally fix the spawnrates/locations to the way they intended them that they will:

1. Remove all existing planks
2. Return the quest components (sans the plank) to the people who had BFGs removed
3. Return the quest NPC

how come those that potentially exploited to get a BFG would have their planks returned, while all existing non turned in planks get poofed? if you are gunna poof em just poof em all imho. Regardless, thanks for the info and looking forward to doing the quest.

I dont know how you misunderstood, but you did.

All existing planks = poof.

No one is going to get a plank returned. The Giant Drake Wing & 100 foot rope will be returned.
