Even if the new series turned out to be good, I don't trust CBS to keep a good thing going. They only ordered half a season (13 episodes) for Person of Interest, and it will probably be the last season, which is unfortunate. Apparently PoI was doing fine in the ratings its first 2 years when CBS's usual older demographic thought it was 'just a cop show', despite the artificial intelligence elements that were slowly coming to the forefront. Once it became obvious in season 3 that this was really a science fiction show, the show became awesome but the old viewership stopped watching and the ratings tanked. Will they have the guts to let a show continue when it receives critical acclaim but lower-than-desired revenues? I don't see it.
