On topic though, I think Red just isn't great for the casual gamer like the majority of people who play on P1999. If I could commit a lot of time to EQ then maybe it would be worth it. I like blue because it's chill and I can AFK when I want and not have to always worry. That's pretty much it to be honest.

you're right passing on untwinked new players LFG & requiring people to wait in line for the opportunity to camp a mob for 8 hours is totally casual.

you know compared to loging in and xping with people in rawhide and runinnig around loling and having fun not chasing any pixels at all.

Well I don't do those silly things on blue. I like the slow steady pace of leveling up the way I want to without having to worry about who is going to ruin my day (the journey is the whole point of why I play, not the endgame). I only have a few hours to play here and there (not everyday either) so taking a death (with potential coin loss) would not be fun and I would just have to log off after running back to my corpse and LNS. Like I said, blue is far more casual and easy going which caters more towards those who can't play as much.

There's no point in giving serious responses. The join red spam will continue anyways. Better off saving yourself the energy and just nodding your head or giving a thumbs up instead.

Except there the idiots have a captive audience. I guess the red players should be thankful though that there is no way to transmit dumb ass jpegs and gifs.

And yes just last night (or was it night before) there were low level twinks that closed down faydwer and steamfont. Wouldn't surprise me if it happens regularly. As far as forum posts making fun of red server, really all I'm seeing is players calling bullshit on the "red is better than blue" spam threads.

This is completely at odds with the tone of most of what has been said here by Red advocates. Seems like an ingrained opinion backed by copypasta.

And it's only just starting. In a few months time, since they gave epic weapons a required level, you'll soon start seeing fully NTOV-geared, deleveled, level 30 PVP twinks as commonplace.

We're talking level 30s with 3k unbuffed HP, max all melee stats, 175+ all resists, and dual wielding weapons like Claw of Lightning (14/18 41% haste).

If you don't believe me, that's fine. But again, I played on Tallon Zek during live, and this is precisely what happened. Hell THIS item here became the "gold standard" for deleveled PK twinks on Tallon Zek:
