I've seen a number of laptops in that price range coming with 940 and 950 graphics. I don't know how 9 series compares with 8 series on mobile platforms, but if it was anything like the jump from 7 series to 9 series in desktop, the 9 series may offer quite a bit of power savings. My 970gtx consumes the same power as the old 460gtx I have in my media computer.

Also not real up to speed on mobile processors, but with skylake out, how does that 5200 compare? I had a co-worker buy a laptop on black friday that came with a 6200 and 940M for like $649 if I remember right.
