He is very trust worthy. I probably wouldn't trust the crowd who is often gathered around him though, as sometimes they can be easily confused.

One of my few vivid memories from playing classic back in the day, was when my sister dropped a blackened iron crown for me on the ground somewhere in neriak, but i was a noob and got lost in neriak when I logged in, so it disappeared. For me, back then, it was a pretty sick item, so I was pretty disappoint.

I still do the drop on ground and log bit. Just gotta be smart about it, like have see invisible up and doing it in weird places. Like on rooftops, or way down underwater.

Bag dropping works for items, but you can't drop plat. There's always risk of someone coming along or a badly-timed crash, but you can mitigate the risk by doing it in some out of the way corner. I've done it a fair number of times but having a friend help out is far more preferable.

I used to use forges, pottery kilns, stoves, etc on live to pass stuff to my alts. worked well and less obvious than bags on the ground :P

and one time I opened up a kiln to put stuff in and found a full suit of Crusty and a glowing black sword in it

For transferring items, unless there is someone I really trust nearby, I simply move the toon with the items to some really obscure place. Middle of the Innothule Swamp works well, since rarely do people go wandering around there. Or an out of the way building in Qeynos works well too. Then I log the toon I want to transfer to and run them to the same spot, log to original toon, drop item, log to 2nd toon, pick up item.

As a mage, this has worked well for giving alts massive stacks of bandages, food, water, weapons and jewelry. Takes more time than finding someone to do a transfer (most of the time) but is just about as safe if you take precautions.

I used to pass tons of summoned pet weapons and such to pals then we'd duel kill them in a handy location and they could store stuff for a week that way. Visit corpse whenever you needed more items

Drop it on the ground and log over super duper quick, obv.
I've only been on the server for a month and I can hardly count the number of times I've done this already. All without losing anything, too, even though I accidentally clicked quit once on accident when trying to log on my second character.
