You're out of your mind. There are several guilds that can kill most any target in ToV by themselves if uncontested. Beating the other guild to the punch is the hard part of EQ raiding. Killing the dragons themselves is mostly a joke. If Rampage went to Kunark on a earthquake Taken or Forsaken or BDA could easily kill uncontested ToV targets and Rampage knows that. You're brainwashed into thinking you need 150 ppl to kill anything by Detoxx and his cronies.

Having all those extra folks helps to ensure you get the snap pull in. If you're running 40 deep and lose 5-7 people working the pull you're likely to lose the fight to attrition. Having 60-70 people means you can lose 5 people pulling and still have way more than you actually need to get the job done. Having a way bigger margin for error is nice obviously.
