Shamans do two forms of damage mainly....disease and poison. Both are curable if you maintain potions. Casting either Pox or Bane is mainly a waste of mana. The epic is a ridiculous cast time and the damage doesn't start til the back end.
Rogues do more than 300 damage with discs active between 6-second ticks, and moreover, Torpor is dispellable. So it has very little use in a 1v1 situation.
Rogue crushes shaman 1v1. Shaman's are not a good 1v1 class, they are more a support class to throw dots and make the player pause to cure while getting beat on.
