Default Skilling up on corpses

Casters can skill up and spell on a dead body as it it were and enemy, or friendly target, I can DS a corpse, burst of fire , pretty much any spell on a corpse.

I believe they did eventually change it on live so that corpses were invalid targets, but that would have been after the Classic era I'm pretty sure.

Really, you can skill up on anything you can legally target as spell skillups depend on whether or not you completed the casting, not whether or not the spell lands successfully.
