Some of the Totemic armor quests are decent, but you can usually just buy much better armor for way less hassle and time. By the time your high enough to solo the quests, the rewards are meh.

I saw the Totemic quests, but what gear would be better to buy and the general cost?

Hang out in ec and compare prices. You're aiming for wisdom. The testament of vanear quest has always been my fav easy wisdom piece, but not sure how that would work As an iksar.

I too was very pleased with the random acts of kindness I encountered upon my arrival to this land. Most of my armor was giving to me form several random kind hearts.

Charred Guardian Shield is a nice one for under 200p. Blood-Stained Tunic is also pretty cheap. Honestly, just grab some banded for like 90p and you'll be fine. Slow the mobs and you can tank/heal just fine wearing banded. It's how I leveled my shaman as a lowbie. Save up your plat for spells and gear later. I wore banded until like level 30?
