No. Your stance in this thread is a promotion of selfish gains at the expense of others through a self-centered ethic that will delineate positivity, confidence, and a myriad of other valuated adjectives. In short, it does not build anything but an appearance, thoroughly believed, that collapses under any legitimate scrutiny (what the generation that's currently holding political power promoted). So the question then becomes if promotion of a believed self is promotion of a truth then what is one to do when that promoted truth is invalidated?
I would like to point out that I perhaps don't quite understand your perspective, I'm not as learned as you are. I think I have a more simplistic and perhaps childish way of expressing my point of view.

>>>Your wasting your time if your trying to invalidate other peoples selfs lol.

Needless to say I can see how you see it that way (scary).

I'm not telling people how to go about generating their self identity and how that applies to themselves and others. I'm saying (and I think) I changed my perspective a bit.

>Do what you want to do, within reason, and try to understand, learn from, incorporate, and respect others along the way, it generates the best possible results.

I certainly don't think complete narcissism is a good thing. I honestly think there is something in our nature that generally makes us do well unto others. Even if it makes us ignore or do horrible things to people far far away through our ignorance. But that changes through understanding and self improvement.

There are people who are warped and hurt and who have it in their nature to be horrible. But telling them to change their nature is dumb. It's better to have it in our nature to be aware of them and cope with them in healthy ways.

So my self centric point of view isn't a kind of black and white, 1 or zero, manifest destiny sort of view.

It's important to have a heart. But you won't ever find that heart pretending that yours belongs to others.
