I played the Rift beta, it's not that good imo.

Basically it went like is, game starts you in outpost_01, get quests from NPC's to kill said # of mobs, or collect said # of items, return, get more quests to kill more mobs, return, now go deliver this letter to outpost_02 and do the same type of stuff again. You just keep getting sent further down the path to the next outpost.

I only played to 13 and didn't get into any PvP stuff. Also during gameplay random Rifts would open and all players in the area would converge on the rifts to down some harder mobs for bonus loot, but that also got to feel really repetitive.

It is a lot more like warhammer to me. The Rifts that open up are basically the group areas that were in warhammer. At least in wow you had the option of what quests you wanted and what order to do them. In rift, you are bottle fed the quests along a linear path. It's boring.
