only curious thing
Pet aggro still needs to be tweaked, definitely -- right now pets do not hold aggro over almost anything done by the caster -- but I don't really think it's as bad as some people describe.
As far as chain-petting: I played a mage on live to 60, and one of the hardest parts about chaining was that you had to find a way to not die while the mob beat the shit out of you for 20-30 seconds because your pet had to build up some aggro. You do get aggro from having a pet on the mob -- and that's very definitely classic. It was one of the things that made chain petting very difficult (and not just stupidly OP). It may need to be tweaked a bit, but I can tell you that when you chained on live, you expected to get beaten on for at least a few rounds. That got worse with every new pet you summoned, because you built aggro while the pet had to start fresh every time.
The only really weird thing I've noticed about pet aggro (I'm playing a necro now) is that if I sit down and send my pet to attack a mob, the mob runs and hits me as soon as my pet engages. I think maybe all of the aggro from a player engaging their pet is being applied at the beginning of the fight, and it should be a bit more uniform.
One final note to the mages: no complaints from you guys. Mages absolutely blew on live. You guys are much more powerful here =P
