Default Log file.

Any reason why i can't get my client to create a log file? I have /log turned on and i took read only off the files.

Run as administrator maybe? Are you looking in the right spot for the log file? Try changing the ini file too so it turns on logging automatically?

Most likely case is that you need to run EQ as an administrator as Tecmos said above. I used to have the same issue when I first started playing here.

You have EQ installed to program files folder probably.

I moved everquest folder to c:\ the only thing i havent tried is run as admin. Ill give that a shot next.

Uninstaller and reinstalled to c:\everquest and ran as admin. still can't get a log file.

I had to enable logging in my eqclient.ini file before it would "stick".

Are your folders set to read only? I know you say they aren't, but are you sure?

As myriverse said, the folder probably doesn't have the correct permissions. I had to go and set the folder so that everyone had read/write permission, and that way, log files were correctly written.
