Default Pet aggro

What's up with pet agro? I'm a necro and my pet pulls aggro all the time with taunt off. Example pet attack 5 disease clouds later pet still has aggro.. I don't remember it being that way?

Do you have it on guard? I think if you have it on guard and anything aggressive comes by, it will attack it.

Heal your pet mid fight if you're trying to facetank your pulls and peel aggro, for whatever reason youd want to do that

I am not trying to tank. I am agro kiting. I cast all my dots and sometimes my pet pulls agro. I then spam disease cloud on it and no luck.

Pets generate huge amounts of threat now. The mage epic elemental for example will put out probably twice as much threat as a BIS warrior with two SoDs.

Aggro kiting on a Necromancer is probably just a bad idea; your dots will lose 1/3 of their damage and it will be very hard to outdamage your pet for full XP. Probably the best idea is to just group in Kurn's Tower (huge XP mod) until L20 or so.
