No, people don't like bards swarming because it's fucking disruptive to the game play of multiple people.
Yes, I have known people that have quit because they get tired of trying to play, just to have some self centered asshole disrupting an entire zone, every time they try to play.

Just because you CAN do something, doesn't mean that you SHOULD.
Have you noticed that server population is down to almost half of what it was a year ago?
Bard swarming is one of the reasons behind this.
Keep it up and enough people will quit, then all you'll be able to do is swarm by yourself.
