mob means monster or beast...
Nerd alert: this originated from MUDs, and the original term was "mobile unit". "Monster or beast" is actually more accurate these days, and easier to remember, since non-player friendlies are usually referred to as NPCs instead of mobs.

What does FTE stand for?
CoM?
FTE has sort of become its own word used interchangeably as both a noun and a verb rather than as an abbreviation on P99. "I have FTE" / "I FTEd the mob" basically means, "I am the first person on the mob's hate list" / "I tagged the mob first", etc. It's rare that you'll see someone use it to actually abbreviate "first to engage", such as, "Were you FTE?"

CoM stands for City of Mist, the go-to outdoors dungeon located out in the wilderness of Emerald Jungle, for people looking to powerlevel through levels 40-51.
