That's quite a twink! I've often thought casters would be way better off if meditating gave you a set ℅ of your mana pool per tick rather than a set amount of mana. It would actually make it worthwhile to stack +mana items. That toon would be a non-stop nuking machine! Stupid Verant.

I guess having that much mana will allow him to nuke down 3 or 4 mobs then afk for 10 minutes and do something productive IRL, which is always nice.

From 20-40ish, maybe even a little higher, you can do more sustained dps with a 32/36 2hb, and tolj robe. You still can med between fights, CC/ nuke some, and save your mana for bad pulls. It's also a way more fun way to group a wizard.

My mage is set up this way. Solo, I joust between mob swings while my pet is fighting. Group, I think I'm up there with the monks, possibly quite a bit more dps.

Can't confirm this personally but i've heard people claim the velious quest clickies (like the robe from thurg, for example) are clickable from level 1. If true, that would probably have the biggest impact on your dps in group, since you can keep nuking while OOM. It's a bit of a long cast time, but at least for the 30-40's range that's probably about the right amount of time to land the nuke on the latter half of mobs' hit points.

I made an Erudite instead and got a pair of Solusek Ro rings. No regrets. Was going to make Gnome but the 3rd person camera felt weird.
