The only real impact being good or evil is going to have in the early game, is you'll need to keep on that con button to make sure guards aren't going to attack you.

Late game (50+) you aren't going to care -at all- about your faction. the factions that matter, you can fix.

Having groupmates (trusted groupmates) of both good/evil alignment means if you happen to need to sell or buy stuff from vendors, you're gonna have someone who is able to do it. (Although, realistically, you're not going to have serious problems finding useable vendors in the first place)

Early game questing is largely just an EXP reward, with a garbage item you'll eventually replace, notable exceptions being a really shitty 18sec duration snare necklace

MAGIC ITEM LORE ITEM NO DROP
Slot: NECK
AC: 7
INT: +2 WIS: +3 MANA: +15
Effect: Clinging Darkness (Must Equip, Casting Time: 6.0) at Level 15
WT: 0.1 Size: TINY
Class: CLR SHM
Race: HUM DEF TRL
Deity: Innoruuk

Which requires the dark elf to be a cleric. It has uses, true, but they are very niche uses. And 100% useless if your group composition can use a real snare (10min+ druid snares or 1min+ ranger/sk/necro snares - 1min+ weapon proc snares) for fleeing mobs/kiting.

Edit : Assless chaps are a worthwhile consideration. you're gonna be in chase cam for a long time.
K, ty for your answer! Think he will be delighted to hear that!
