Default Noob, kind of

Well, I originally started on the server several years ago, but quit kind of quick.

Anyway, I am back and playing between 3 different toons (12 monk, 9 nec, 8 mage) however my plat situation is abysmal. The monk I leveled to 12 years ago and he still uses bare fists and with barely any other gear. I recently started the mage and was able to get to 8 pretty quick, however, purchasing just a fraction of my spells pretty much wiped my plat out. Not to mention many slots still not filled.

Anyway, I am looking for suggestions as to where to go to get some plat and / or gear for those 3 toons. Monk and Necro are in commonlands area, and mage is in qeynos area. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also would love to meet some peeps and grind out some levels.

The Gfay area is great for earning plat at early levels. maybe get a port over there? you can kill orcs in and around crushbone for belts. they sell pretty well for 2pp - 3pp each to other players. You can make some good plat that way.

Bouncing between the three will make it take longer to get plat and gear for the three of them. Is there one you'd prefer to play primarily over the others? Do you have any plat to begin with?

Ill tell ya plat making was awful as a leveling monk main. Not until later game do you start to see noticeable gainz.

My advice is to main a character and use the benefits from that to afford the others. Necro is ana amazing solo class, mages too once they get the good pets, monks are versatile in groups and the best of the three to group with(arguably).

That said, none of those classes are heavily gear reliant. Can have fun in rags on all three
