goodle, for a quick example, instead of spending hours and hours farming plat, i could sit my ass in EC, i saw a great price on efreeti boots (5800pp) and purchased them, only to resell the next day for 7000pp. i bought a GBS for 6700pp, and i sold it for 8000pp, and so on and so on.

spend some time in EC, and watch the prices of items. over time you will develop a larger item inventory, so every day you'd be buying and selling multiple items.


now granted, these aren't millions of plat, but im not a millionaire. however, where my swings are 2k-3k, if i was rich and if i had manastones i could easily make tens of thousands of plat

Ok so I'll sit in EC for an hour, scanning the prices constantly in hopes that some person is willing to lose 1k to get rid of an item fast. That sounds worse then watching paint dry. If people enjoy doing that then all I have to say is "go get em tiger".

Also I can confirm that I have been bored and sat around EC doing this once in a wile. The only people selling low are doing this for a reason because nobody else wants the item and they were trying to sell it high for a long time before that. It's like you people assume some tard is gonna go sell a manastone for 50k one day and your going to turn around and pawn it off for 80... doesn't work like that. People on this server have been around the block with this game enough.

Car dealerships buy old cars, because they can turn around and resell them for more.

Cash 4 Gold buys up gold for cheap because they can turn around and sell it at a profit

There are millions, yes millions of Ebay users that make their whole family's income exactly the same way EC vendors do. They buy low and sell high. Thats all they do. They dont have any other job. They make a decent, and sometimes excellent living doing so.

These are three real life example of what you claim to be impossible. Clearly all these people have never seen a boob.

Hey fucktard, you buy 1k less and sell 1k higher thats 2k profit do that enough and you can buy 20k items around 15 and sell them for 25. You have the mind of a child, no wonder you are still living in your grandparents basement.

Its not uncommon for a person in the EC tunnel to sell 10-20 items at a time. If you bought each for 2k less, and can sell them for 2k more than their average price. Then thats (2+2)*20 = 80k, while selling you are also buying. If you are on a roll you can make 100k within a very short period of time, a few times a day. And you will have a million plat.

If plat was very easy to get then the market would be flooded with it, and everyone would have millions of plat.

Its not like you wake up and overnight have a million plat. No you work your way up. At first dealing with items in 50-100pp range, then moving on to 500-1000pp range, then 1000-5000pp range etc... eventually you are dealing with 20 items each worth 50,000pp. Thats 2 million pp in items.

How often do you see Bob actually playing? Maybe I just manage to miss him, but it seems like I rarely see him actively auctioning in EC. When I do, he auctions once every like 30 minutes, compared to most people who spam every time their shit goes out of view. His web based service allows him to manage his business outside of the game more so than within.



I've always been intrigued with the idea of playing the money market of EQ and wish I had the time and startup fund to give it a shot. Although my real problem is that i've always been the guy to sell low just to be done with it...

If I can make 500pp now and go do something more entertaining, I'll usually do that instead of spending another 2 hours trying to land 700. Guess I wouldn't be the best broker...
