We definately need to start a list of things that need to be looked at for the new box. Rogeans p99 box definately is coded better PVE wise, but the PVP aspect is somewhat lacking. Looks like Rexx already started doing some testing, but we need MOAR.

OK after logging on a 50 monk and testing some stuff with another 50 rogue and necromancer, i have come to the conclusion that AC and MR need to be scaled. There was no difference in paralyzing earth landing on 45 mr as there was on 90mr. Also saw no difference in physical attacks on 400ac and 900ac. Backstabs and flying kick seemed to be on par, a 10 damage eyerazia was doing 165 max and the highest flying kick was about 100.
Overall damage needs to be upped, and AC/MR need to scale. Besides that I couldn't see any other problems, detrimental spells should also be tweaked to do an MR check for duration. If anyone has any other chars they wanna test on let me know and please feel free to critique my research as well as doing your own testing. | ||

Make sure that melee can't hit casters 20 ft over the melee's head.
Make sure ranger's arrows can't be fired out of their butts nor hit casters 20 feet above them. Make sure caster's spells can hit melee as long as x,y axis range is met. All of the above is not only classic, but is still live today. Live EQ and Classic EQ have never had melees with 10,000 foot sword reach. Never, uhn uhh. Stop the insanity. | ||

If you guys want a shit-free post for testing PVP, use Offtopic. It isn't about this server, but still moderated.

i think if you are in melee range of target ring you should be able to hit them no matter how high above or below you they are, should prolly impliment something so that when you zone you are da until your done loading zek/vztz both had a similar aproach and it workd...i know this was brought up in another thread but i believe it would be more beneficial here
