Anyone mind to explain an outsider some stupid question please?

Why is this "famous people kneel down to protest" a big thing right now?
Is it because Trump is pissed about it, or is it because some websites make it big to generate clicks?

I mean america been always protesting against something. Just like France.
"99% vs 1%"
"Black lifes matter"
"bring back twinkie's"(?!)
"more guns"
etc.

And at each protest there been some hardcore pro and hardcore contra assholes, but overall its been always a "nice" debate about some topic.
But this time it seems to be diffrent and I am not sure why.

This isnt the first protest against an president right?

Failed QB Colin Kaepernick did it last year to try to stay relevant another few weeks. He kneeled during the national anthem to protest perceived police brutality in Ferguson, MO (proven to be false).

Others jumped on the bandwagon, essentially disrespecting the national anthem to promote whatever political agenda they had at the time.

Now everyday blow-Joe Americans, combat veterans, and others are pissed off because of the players' disrespect of anthem and country, and the stupid comments coming out of the leagues management and out of the offices of some of the owners adds fuel to the fire.

The whole thing started out stupid and lack of leadership has led it to getting out of control, to the point that people are cancelling NFL TV packages this week at a record rate.

The NFL was starting to die anyway. Now its end is coming fast. Bring on professional soccer.

The irony about kneeling to the american flag because you think america doesn't do enough for civil rights, is, you're kneeling to the flag that represents the most forward progress in civil rights out of any country in the history of the world.

So it just shows how fucking dumb you dindu liberals are.

ahh, I think I understand.
Make sence now for me. Thanks you.

So people are not against the protest, but are against the fact that they protest during the anthem, which also stands for the freedom of speech(protest) = hypocrite.

Maybe they should kneel down after the anthem?! Like a "silent minute".

(sorry for my english)

Simply put Domo...

People are stupid. Before all this craziness there were no issues. Now that one person did something stupid (promote their own agenda), others start to follow then someone of power said that these people are disrespecting their country, in which they are, but most hippy fools do without thinking anyway...

Now a bunch of people turn it in to a race thing or something it is not and try to make a political point, which it's not. Again, all because one fool tries to push his stupid beliefs on others.

/cough Kaepernick /endcough

kaep stating his beliefs is not pushing them on anyone. they're free to ignore him and/or disagree.
