it is possible to replace the sense heading training trick with a macro for /loc and then make a tiny window that displays similar messages. that way you always have your loc on death, as long as you hit walk forward sometime around the time you died (which is fairly reliable).

It's possible back when this game had thousands of players on at a time, people just vendored them at the nearest NPC (the bank?) en masse. Which explains why they were always available for the select few who actually used them.

Yeah, possible, but I'm "sure" that they were sold as regular items at the poison/potion vendors. Don't remember the era, though.
