Thanks for the tip! But I can't get there without a port. It seems that if you are bound to Erudin, you are more or less stuck to only a few zones at lower levels (Toxulia, Qeynos, Blackburrow, Karana etc) until you get port spells at higher levels. Characters bound to East Antonica have MUCH more opportunity to explore more varied and plentiful zones (Freeport, Butcherblock, Commonlands, Faydwer, Ro, boats to Kunark). Crag spiders would be quite a bit too hard for him at his level.

There are giant spiders in West Karana that drop spider silk. I think they're about level 8 or so.

Yeah, kinda forgot that he was looking for the lower level spiders.

The D is for spiderling silks, for regular spider silks the 'bone pit' is a pretty good spot to collect spider silks.
