I would sympathize more with op if he didn't feel like he was right about everything. He actually doesn't know shit, especially about eq. Lots of eq veterans are trying to reason with him but he knows better.

Just about everyone in the thread agrees the dude didn't intentionally train him. Love that he posted evidence to contradict his own account of things too. He even buffed him. We know, you were doing fine without the buffs. You said it 100 times. So op is either a liar and manipulator (my favorite) or he has some serious deep rooted trust issues and won't accept the fact that the dude didn't elaborately train him on purpose.

mad? I am hardly mad, sir. I am finding this thread quite amusing now. And you are allowed to think what you want about a lvl 22 being trained by a 45 and how they should respond. Just as I am allowed to defend myself. So, please keep defending a level 45 that trains a camp and watches the lower level die. Judging from what I’ve seen from this and other threads I’d expect nothing less from you. If I didn’t know that you were a basement dwelling neckbeard I’d swear you were a Karate Kid type jock.

Ok, so you mez everything, sit down and get Anarchy up its a 34 level spell that's
270 damage because the mobs have ~500hps and you know all this ahead of time. Each cast takes around 8-10 seconds. It cost 160 mana.. 20 casts.. sorry you don't have over 3k mana. Not to mention you're not full mana because you just buffed this guy and you're trying to mez the mobs.

It's the same problem with the 44 level nuke. You aren't going to get 10 casts with your mana pool. Maybe you get a couple in, mez the mobs and med up but. I would think this would also be a pain.

So what was the other option? Melee them down at 2 dps. Or better, you time your mem of haste between your and their melee hits so you can do 3 dps and work your way through 5k hps of mobs. I don't even want to try to do the math on this one.. : )

It seems like the only viable option there is the pet.

And I am an EQ vet myself, Mead. I had my epic on my chanter in 2002. It took a year to get. I haven’t played since 2004. I’d ask for a bit of leeway. I might not play how YOU think I should but I in fact do know what I’m talking about.
