Default EQ on Mac with Crossover

Hey, I am trying to run EQ on my Mac using crossover. I did the install which went alright but how do I make the changes to the files for P99 (eqchanges and the host.ini etc) and how do I change the "patchme" on the shortcut?

thanks

Well I figured it all out but I still have not figured out how to add the patchme to the shortcut. Im not sure if I even need it running it through CrossOver but I dont want to risk it then have to reinstall. Any help would be great.

Bump.

There's no one who's using Crossover to run p99 on a Mac?? Come on! I'd really like to figure out how to do this also. I'm clueless with computers.
I've installed Crossover Games and have installed EQ titanium using a set of five CDs, but I have no idea how to carry out the list of adjustments required to launch emulator servers/p99 on a Mac.
Can anyone help us out?

You should use boot camp, it runs flawlessly and probably much smoother than if you used an emulation program.
Fixed to be helpful.

Hey thanks heaps for the translation Baigorn. The reason I, and probably others, want to use emulator, is because I don't have a spare copy of a windows OS lying around, and I'm cheap as hell.

So, if you run eqgame.exe without including "patchme" - what will happen? Do I need to reinstall and start fresh? Or can I delete files?

You should start fresh if the patcher ran and replaced any files.

I couldn't get P99 settings to run with CrossOver with OS X, however, I have the game running easily with Wine.

If there are those that are interested I can post my methodology and maybe we can expand on that?

At the moment I am having issues with maintaining a larger display, and trying to get the program to work in windowed mode with MOUSE movement.

Thoughts? Requests?
