Freeze when i tried to connect to the server

I don't understand. This post (http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2651) say:
First, Follow steps 1-5 in the guide for setting up EQEmulator at the Play Guide on EQEmulator(http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka...akka=PlayGuide). Once you have completed Step 5 there are additional modifications you must make to play on Project 1999 without any problems.

And the Play Guide on EQEmulator say :
Please note: As of this time you MUST have one of the follow versions of Everquest

Everquest: Titanium Edition (Retail from the CDs)
Everquest: Secrets of Faydwer (Retail from the CDs/DVDs)
Everquest: Seeds of Destruction (No longer available by legal means)
Everquest: Underfoot (Download-Only from Steam - DOWNLOAD HERE∞)


I bought the Everquest: Underfoot (Download-Only from Steam - DOWNLOAD HERE∞).
This version won't work anymore?
