Speckles/Visual "static" while playing on Wine (Ubuntu 16.04)

I did manage to update my drivers (went to proprietary), and while this did solve the issue in the character select screen, once I get into the world the problem recurs. Any further help would be much appreciated (though I suppose I could play it as-is in a pinch)!
