![]() Ok, flame on folks. I have a Ranger. It's my main. I love to play him and do so often especially when I want to solo and be a hermit.
However I have several other toons that I have that are lower level but the question I pose is which class is generally most accepted/wanted in groups and guilds for either grouping purposes and/or raiding? I have ready many a posts that will either credit many classes or dis-credit many classes. The classes that I shy away from most due to simply not really enjoy playing them are 1) Bards, 2) Warriors, and 3) Shadow Knights. So that said what in your P99 experiences have you seen that is the class that is desired the most?

![]() Right now..... I think Paladin might be up there.
I mean knights in general are pretty gimp compared to war/monk, and i'd be surprised if a BiS paladin could outdps a monk with epic fist + SoS. But paladins are probably the absolute best tanks for grouping, and there is a shortage of Level 60 paladin mains in the top end raid guilds (because nobody wants to play them) but are extremely useful during raids. Just don't expect to tank anything lmaoo

![]() Raiding guilds can never get enough clerics, warriors, rogues and (skilled) monks.
Grouping is much more variable. Your typical 6 man pug wants a tank, healer, 3-4 dps and maybe a cc class. Certain duos like cleric + enchanter or shaman + monk can do just about any camp in the game too. This is going to depend on your playstyle: you can grind 6 man pug's in seb or duo in HS, but you should bring a class that people need or you'll wind up sitting around with your LFG tag up way too much. I'd suggest either cleric or monk for most desired raiding and grouping class. Hope this helps.

![]() I had the same dilemma once. It's hard to please people on P99, so I decided to just play with myself instead.
I'd come home, build a nice fire, and just play with myself all night long. It was good. I'd recommend a monk.

![]() Clerics are definitely highly sought after for groups, guilds and raids. Of course you would have to enjoy healing and be able to deal with only soloing undead mobs post lvl 20.
Rogues are another well accepted class if melee is your thing.

![]() There are plenty of live mobs to solo as a cleric, it's just more downtime in between each. Didn't bother me much as I would watch a movie or do errands while medding up. The gnolls in SK, cyclops, HG's, Gornit in OOT, and even the seafuries once you hit 54 and get reckoning.
