Default Kunark era Monk damage

Somebody linked me a formula earlier for max hit and it didn't look right to me. I dug up some damage for monks from Kunark era, can anyone tell me if this server matches what's below:

59 monk with Imbued Fighter Staff, 255 str, max 2hb skill, epic atk buff, max hit 221

Some guy in another thread said that he looked under P1999 wiki game mechanics section. He says the formula the server is using for max hit is:

(2hbSkill + STR-75)/100 * Weapon Damge +DmgBonus = max hit

If it actually uses that formula, it's wrong. That "-75" part shouldn't be in there. If you take that part out, you get what I consider to be normal EQ damage for max hit. What's 2hb cap for monk at 59? 250? and damage bonus for level 59 monk with 40 delay weapon is 31?:

(250 + 255str)/100 * 38wpn dmg + 31dmg bonus = 222.9

So the number comes out 99% accurate to EQ live using that formula with the -75 part removed.

http://wiki.project1999.org/index.ph...bat_and_Damage

specifically says the formula you quoted is for "other emulated servers and may have been changed on P99". not having looked at this in a while I suspect that means, as with ZEMs or other details, the devs have not released the actual formula used on p99 and so someone would need to do lots of parsing and figure it out. if so, feel free to update the wiki with your findings!

all the references under that wiki section are linked - it is just a synthesis of that information

Nobody has a high level melee on p1999 that can test this?

All you need to do is post your 2h skill, str, level, dmg bonus on weapon, and max hit.

Just so i can get an accurate estimate on how much i'll be hitting for at 20 when the last damage cap come off, how much will i be hitting for with Quivy (23/28) w 1052hb and say 87str? i got it down to 40.48 w/out the dmg bonus in there because i'm not sure how much damage bonus i'll have w the quivy at lvl 20.

"According to the most accurate formula we have currently, your MAX can be calculated thus:

[((Weapon Skill + Strength)/100) * (DMG)) + (Level Damage Bonus)] "

From this thread: http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...ad.php?t=34925

Which is referencing a thread from the Steel Warriors.

Edit: It should also be noted that the information in this thread is largely what Kanras pulled from when doing his modifications to the melee system.
