![]() I started playing right as Kunark was released and I bought this book. I loved it.
Then one day, not all that long after I started playing I don't think, I received a parcel from Verant or some such. I don't remember whom exactly it was addressed from, but as I saw the package I knew that it was Official EverQuest. I was excited. I opened it, and all that was in there was this book. I have no explanation for it.

![]() I've got the original vanilla EQ strategy guide at home. I'll try to remember to upload some images to add to this thread when I get home. I remember pouring over every page of that thing. All I really remember of it now though was in the section that explained how to exit the game (camping) they gave the example of a party member who wanted to leave because the newest episode of Buffy: The Vampire Slayer was on [You must be logged in to view images. ![]() From page 211 of the strategy guide:
"Strafing Workaround There is no STRAFELEFT or STRAFERIGHT key in EverQuest. To be honest, you won’t find a lot of use for strafing since you select a target and start swinging. However, you can holddown the STRAFE key and use the TURNLEFT and TURNRIGHT keys to strafe in that direction." Strafe keys aren't classic?
