Shapiro said the priests would mark their victims by giving them gifts.

“To make it easier to target their victims, the priests gave their favored boys gifts – gold crosses to wear as necklaces. The crosses were markings of which boys had been groomed for abuse,” Shapiro said.

But I'm sure it was just a handful of bad apples in an otherwise great and moral institution.

One thing is for sure, we need more religion in modern society to keep us all on the right track and uphold our values. All this anti-sexual liberal stuff is ruining society that was working fine without it.

The logic of God's existence in reality.

1. God is Omnipotent - (all powerful)
2. God is Omniscient - (knows everything past, present, and future)
3. Suffering exists

Assuming the above are true, God, knowing that suffering will occur, has it within his/her/their power to stop it, does not prevent suffering, but allows it to happen.

Anyone who has it within their power to prevent suffering, knows that it will occur and does nothing about it is either:

a. lazy
b. an a$$hole (evil)
c. Doesn't actually have the foreknowledge or omnipotent power of which they claim.

Which is it Theists? I'm waiting............
